The world is crying out to end conflict and inhumanity.

We believe that, as humans, we all carry some aspect of egoism that creates negative energy.  But we believe
even more strongly in the communicative and healing power of music and song.
We have a chance to harness the divine power that is in each of us to heal and create a better world.

Let us take this step together.

Abraham's Vision would like to thank Common Chords for their outstanding performance at the Unity Jam Benefit Concert held on January 17, 29010 at the Spangenberg Theatre in Palo Alto, California.  Common Chords put on a touching, reflective event which brought together more than 350 supporters for a night of eclectic world music.  Ranging from Roma-inspired tunes to Punjabi rock ballads, from Hava Nagila (a traditional Jewish song) to a musical interpretation of the Athan (the call to prayer), the inter-religious and multi-ethnic event celebrated equality amidst diversity and a shared vision of peace.  With their incredible energy and spirit, Common Chords brought an audience that spanned generations, religions, cultures and nationalities to their feet.

Yale Strom presented two concerts, one with Hot Pstromi and one with Common Chords, an ensemble made up of Hot Pstromi members with Pakistani Sufi rock star Salman Ahmad and Indian tabla virtuoso Samir Chatterjee.  These concerts were some of our best attended, and interaction with audience afterwards and at intermission was extensive and rewarding for all.  The workshop and Common Chords concert included the musicians' working with the Kalamazoo Muslim Youth Choir for two numbers, which helped bring an intergenerational multi-faith crowd together for music and, even, during the workshop in the synagogue, dancing!  I highly recommend them.  They are a pleasure to work with, present great programs and work graciously in outreach events. Sincerely,

I’m writing to thank Common Chords for the wonderful day we enjoyed with you at Staples High School. The two all-school assembly concerts featured beautiful, mesmerizing music with a fantastic message of peace and understanding among faiths.  It was a pleasure to experience the amazing talent of each musician, from the guitar to the violin to the accordion, drums and the lovely voice of the lead singer.  We were thrilled to have one of our best student musicians participate on a song as well. The afternoon workshops with the poetry students were terrific.  And students and faculty were thrilled to meet with your group over lunch to discuss your music, and its impact on the world.   Many students and faculty have followed up your visit by researching more on the Middle East and your efforts to change attitudes through your music. We were so glad to have you, and hope you will be back in the Westport schools before long!

Best wishes,
